Ella DiFillippo is a recent graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA degree in Fibers. With an interest in print and pattern, she designs fabrics and surfaces for interior spaces. She uses natural dye mediums that allow her to explore color, texture, and transparencies, transforming these explorations into repeat patterns that reflect the subtleties of every day life. Growing up on the beach north of Boston, Massachusetts, Ella looks to her surroundings to find color inspiration from delicate lighting and seasonal shifts. While creating, Ella likes to allow the medium to inspire her along the way, as her work does not typically reference recognizable form. With a minimalistic approach, Ella creates collections with neutral imagery allowing the possible interpretations to become multifaceted.
